Day two for Clippesby's Music Fest

After a grey start in morning the sun came out and it turned into a lovely sunny afternoon albeit a little chilly at times.  Kolin Durier kicked off the days line up with a lively acoustic set.

As more of our campers ventured out of their tents and across to the walled garden the lovely atmosphere that Clippesby is renowned for started to build.  By lunchtime the tables and chairs around the marquee were full of people enjoying the music and some great food provided by the Muskett Arms & Coffee Shop.

Around tea-time Hard Rain who are regulars to Clippesby and a very popular local band really got things going with lots of people on their feet dancing which was great as it was really starting to get chilly.  A 'nip' in the air didn't put people off though, they just brought their rugs with them and kept warm with hot drinks provided by the bar.

Although the Festival was a first for Clippesby, we have had some great feedback with people looking to book for next year already, and although nothing is set in stone just yet, it is looking extremely likely that this could become an annual event.

We would like to thank everyone who worked so hard over the weekend, Lee and his staff in the bar, Diane and the girls who kept the facilities lovely and clean, Mandy and the coffee shop staff, Ben & Malc who as always were kept busy keeping everything running smoothly, Neil who was on the gate, the Reception staff and Brandon who did a sterling job on Bike Hire.  But most off Chris, who put his heart and soul into this and pulled the whole event together!  All in all a great team effort.

The start of things to come ....

This weekend sees the first Music Festival held at Clippesby, organised by Chris we hope it will be the first of many.  The campsite is almost full and the weather stayed dry for everyone to set up.

Friday was a hive of activity setting up, Ben and Malc working very hard getting the marquee area ready for the the bands to set up.  They are particularly proud of their 'carpeted' stage area and curtain - well done lads!

The festival itself was kicked off by acoustic artist Kolin Durier and then later in the evening local band 'One Hand Clapping' played to an enthusiastic crowd.
